A hearty and uncomplicated dish that combines the flavors of savory chili with tender macaroni and melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons chili seasoning
  • 400 g tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 250 g macaroni pasta
  • 250 g Heinz chili sauce
  • 200 g shredded cheese
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 150 g sour cream

Instructions

  1. Sauté the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat until fully cooked.
  2. Drain excess fat, then add the chili seasoning, tomato sauce, and brown sugar.
  3. Simmer the chili on low heat for 15 minutes to meld the flavors.
  4. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, then add the macaroni and cook al dente according to package instructions.
  5. Drain the macaroni and return to the pot.
  6. Pour the cooked chili into the pot with the macaroni and add the Heinz chili sauce. Stir well.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with shredded cheese, diced onions, and a dollop of sour cream if desired.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with a plant-based meat alternative.
