Ingredients
- 200–250 g Brie (whole cheese)
- 2 apples, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 60 g pecans (coarsely chopped)
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- Pinch of salt
- Fresh thyme (optional)
- Baguette or crackers for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C and place the brie on a baking sheet.
- Slice the apples thinly and lightly season with salt.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Caramelize the apples with brown sugar for 4–6 minutes until soft and golden.
- Toast the pecans in the skillet until fragrant.
- Place the caramelized apples and nuts on top of the brie, drizzle with honey.
- Bake the brie for 10–12 minutes or until soft inside.
- Serve immediately with baguette or crackers, garnished with thyme.
Notes
Do not bake too long to avoid the cheese running out; using a small dish helps keep it neat. Serve warm with extra nuts and honey on the side.
