Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon oil
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 120 ml fine breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon chili powder or paprika
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Cut the chicken breasts into schnitzels or fillets, ensuring even thickness. Flatten thicker sections with a meat mallet or rolling pin.
- Season the chicken: In a small bowl, mix oil, salt, and pepper. Brush each schnitzel thoroughly with this mixture.
- Prepare the coating: In a separate bowl, combine breadcrumbs, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried basil, salt, and chili powder or paprika. Press each schnitzel firmly into the breadcrumb mixture to ensure it holds.
- Cook in the Airfryer: Place the breaded chicken breasts in the Airfryer basket, leaving some space in between. Set the Airfryer to 200°C (390°F) and cook for 8-9 minutes. Flip the chicken and cook for another 4 minutes until crispy.
- Let it rest and serve: Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For perfectly crispy chicken, ensure the breadcrumbs are pressed firmly onto the meat. Avoid overcrowding the Airfryer to allow hot air to circulate properly.
